If you could meet with Arne Duncan, our new Secretary of Education, what would you say to him? How would you like to see schools change in the future?

With so many technology advances, it is sometimes hard for school districts to keep up financially. Blogs are a great way to engage students in meaningful discussions, and they are free!
Dear Mr. Duncan,
ReplyDeleteI think that students should be able to decide whether they need homework or not. If they choose not to have any homework, when test time comes around they just have to face the facts that they needed to be more responsible next time.

Dear Mr. Duncan,
ReplyDeleteI think that students should be able to have more time to take tests or get help when they need it.

Dear Mr. Duncan,
ReplyDeleteI think that school should not start so early. I do not like waking up at such a early time. As a suggestion maybe school could start at the same time as the elementary schools ,so at eight forty a.m. maybe.

Dear Mr. Duncan
ReplyDeleteI think that students should be able to decide what classes they take. When high school kids get to choose, they seem to be more interested in their classes.

Dear Mr. Duncan,
ReplyDeleteI think that middle school students should be able to choose the courses that they want to take. Since high schoolers can, and they seem more interested in their classes it would be good for middle school students too.

Dear Mr. Duncan,
ReplyDeleteIf I could ask you to change one thing, it would be that we shouldn't have so many tests. I like the classes where we do projects, like my art classes and my computer class. I get to be creative and don't have to worry so much. These are the classes I work the hardest in, too.

I feel soo bad for Ryan and his family. I think that it was stupid and mean of the girls to do that to him. He should of told someone about his problem instead of commiting suicide he could have also talked to his family, the guidance office or even a friend. Those girls ruined Ryan and his family's life.
ReplyDeleteI feel really badly for Ryan. I can't imagine the pain he went through. I think those girls shouldnt have done what they did. I hope people will make the right desicion by not bullying anyone.
