To prepare for this assembly, I want you to consider these questions and post your answers below:
- What would you consider to be bullying and why?
- Do you think that bullies always realize that they are bullying?
- Why do you think people bully others?
- What are some cliques at Roosevelt? How do these cliques affect the school culture in positive and negative ways?
- What are one or two things the school could do to improve the culture at Roosevelt?
I think bullying is when a bigger kid picks on a smaller kid. They can call the kid names and make them feel bad about themselves. Bullies bully kids to make them feel better about themselves.
ReplyDeletePeople bully others because they think it makes them look cool or seem powerful. But in reality it only hurts people so if we all learned not to make fun of people Rosevelt would be a safer school.
ReplyDeleteI consider bullying to be anything that makes somone feel bad or uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteI think people bully other people because it makes them feel better about them self and powerful over people.
I think that bulling is when someone says something bad about another person that would make them feel bad about themself.
ReplyDeleteI think that most people don't relize that they are bulling. They are thinking that are making a funny joke that there friends are going to think is funny.
I think bullying is when a kid picks on or makes fun of another kid or hurt his feelings.
ReplyDeleteSome times bullies dont realize they are bullying if they are making jokes about a kid or bully on a daily basis then they dont really notice
I think bulling is making someone fell bad or uncomfortable in any way. I think people bully because they want to make themselves feel better or instead or them being insecure they make other people fell insecure.
ReplyDeleteI think that people bully because maybe they get bullied at home so they think that it's right and when people bully others it might make them feel better then the other person because they're hurting the persons feelings.
ReplyDeleteI would consider bullying any mean comments that can affend the person your saying it to. Also vilolence towards another person can make them feel like they are being bullyed.
ReplyDeleteI think that bullying is when people physically, verbally, and emotionally hurt people, or when people make others feel small and powerless.
ReplyDeleteBullies bully because they want to show people that they are tough, and that they are powerful. They also want to get attention.
I would consider bullying anything that is harmful or said affending someone physicaly or mentaly.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think bullys always realize what their doing because they might be telling a joke or making a comment that they want to be funny but other people may not think so and they might know its bullying but don't want to say anything.
I consider bulying when someone does something mean or does something that makes another person feel bad.Or when someone says something or makes a joke at the exspence of another persons feelings. Also when a person does something to make another person feel insecure, that is what I think bullying is.
ReplyDelete-I consider it bullying when someone is making fun of or mocking someone behind someones elses back or to their face. and of corse physical bullying too.
ReplyDelete-No I don't think everyone realises that they are bullying because they could think that something is funny when really they are hurting someone elses feeling.
-I think that people bully because they think it's funny, or that people they look up to do that and it makes it ok or they have been hurt before.
I dont always think that bullies know that they are actually meaning to be harmful to someone because they might think they are just joking around but other people take it harmfully.

ReplyDeleteI think that bullying is making fun of someone or telling jokes about them like she's so fat I'm surprised she fits in the school.
I think that people bully because the feel bad about themselves so they try to make other people feel bad to make them feel better about themselves.

I consider bullying as anything that could hurt someones feelings. Some forms of bulliny are words, violence, and even just ignoring someone. I think many people don't know that they're bulling people since they might see someone alone and act like they're not even there. The person probabaly doesn't think they're bulling the person.

ReplyDeleteI do not think that people always relize that they are always bullying eachother becasue they might be telling a joke but they might not know that they could be making fun of other kids.
No, I dont think bullies always think they are bullying because they might think they are joking around with little violence or a mean comment.
ReplyDeleteI think that bullies sometimes don't know that they're bullying because they mgiht tell them a joke but the joke is really hurting the other pesons feeling but the bully didn't do itintentinally.But,sometimes bullies know that they're bulling by physically abusing them.
ReplyDeleteI think bullies bully other people because they feel insecure about themselves and they want to make other people feel as bad or worse than feel themselves. Or they could be having troubles at home with their family.
