On Thursday, December 2nd and Friday, December 3rd the 8th grade students at our school went on a class trip to New York City. Every group attended an NBC Studio Tour, but the rest of the day was planned by the individual groups and their chaperone. Some students went to the MOMA, some to the Sony Wonder Techno Lab, to St. Patrick's Cathedral, or just to special landmarks like Rockefeller Center and Times Square. 
Reflecting on your experience, please write a response on this blog. What were some of the places you visited? Please include one positive comment on any particular aspect of the day.
Do you think that this trip was worthwhile, and should we continue to offer this trip for 8th grade students in the future?

ReplyDeleteAt NYC, we went to Toys R Us which was so fun! We went on the ferris wheel, walked around, and more! I think that the trip was a lot of fun, and I had a great time. We went to cool places, had a good, lunch, and a great chaperone! It waso so fun and I wouldn't recommened any changes cause I think that it was great as it was!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED THIS TRIP!! We went to Forever 21, Toys R us, MOMA, and then we just went sight seeing! It was definitely worth while! It was the best field trip i've ever been on. The NBC tour was very fun! The best part for me was roaming nyc with my group!
ReplyDeletenyc was a great trip. we went to central park, dylans candy bar, mnm world and a little guitar shop. i would love to go again. we had great fudge at dylans!

ReplyDeleteThis trip was alright I thought it would be better but my teacher wouldnt let is go we planned it all out and he rejected it I think the teachers should be more open to student opinion
ReplyDeleteIt was fun we went to a resturant and saw all kinds of places and people. I thought it was a very good expirience. We ate lunch at this place called Virgil's BBQ, and it was awesome. All in all I thought it was totally worth it.
ReplyDeleteThis trip was sincerely awesome! Even though some teachers may not think that this trip was worth while it really was a way to learn and explore a place where culture is so different to Westfield even though we live 45 minutes away! My group was very good and we definetely had the best chaperone. For fun and for our cultural experience we went to the Central Park and even though most of us thought it was boring, I think most of us had the greatst time there. We ate at a Resturant called Juniors and I recommend it because their milkshake were AWESOME! By far the greatest trip I've ever been on. Definetely do it next year!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, isy this because it was very fun, and i learned about nbc. Dont go to the train station for lunch though it was terrible. The best part was being with all of my friends.
ReplyDeleteI.LOVED.THIS.TRIP(: haha it was so much fun and i loved the freedom that we had. In the morning I was so excited knowing that i had an exciting day ahead of me! When it was all over, i was a little sad, but i hope we can do another trip! i would DEFINETlY do this next year and the years following with the 8th graders because it was so much fun and a realy great expiriece. My group went to visit the big xmas tree, the LOVE statue, NBC (of course), MOMA (for about a half hour), Cranberry Cafe, and our final stop was Forever 21. It was so much fun and i hope the school can do it again.
ReplyDeleteI thought that the trip was so much and worthwhile. I would wnat future 8th gradeers to go on this trip. YOu don't have somany opertunitys to do this and viset NBC studeos. Iliked going to lunch at Junners and going to MandM world.
ReplyDeleteThis class trip was the best field trip i have ever been on! Not only did we take a your of nbc studios but our group went to st. pat's cathedral, the nba store, champs, and many other cool places. my favorite part of the trip was the nba store.
